Service Alert
Effective July 1st, 2026 the following approved rates will apply:
- City of Redmond and Redmond UGB rate increase of 8%
- City of Sisters rate increase of 8.3%
- Deschutes County rate increase of 5%
Attention Deschutes County Distant Rural Customers:
We are excited to announce curbside commingled recycling has been expanded to your area! This new service will start the week of 7/6/2026 on your regular service day every other week on the Deschutes County Recycle calendar schedule, and new recycling carts will be delivered to your area soon! You will see a $6 per month increase to your bill for this new service.

Recycle Plus
Coming soon! Bend, Redmond and Sisters will be offering a new subscription recycle service that will collect an assortment of items not typically accepted in your recycle cart, such as: clamshells, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs and textiles. Organics Recycling
Republic Services has 20 organics recycling facilities, and we use state-of-the-art technology to make the process efficient. We recycle approximately two billion pounds of organic waste into soil amendments that can be used to naturally enhance the health of crops for commercial farms and in community gardens. We're also recycling organics using anaerobic digestion into a renewable energy source.

Deschutes Recycling & Compost
Republic Services operates one of the largest recycling facilities in Central Oregon. We accept electronics, yard waste, bulk items, tires and document destruction, as well as many other materials traditionally accepted in curbside recycling carts.
Deschutes Compost offers premium compost available for pick up or delivery. We offer BioFine ® and SoilBuilder ® compost, and ready-grow soil and premium ground cover. Visit the link below to view our guide and for more information and pricing.
